I saw the ophthalmologist again this week. Something by the chic name of alpha inhibitors went into my eyes, and the upshot is that my minor nerve injury has a name -- is in fact a syndrome. Horner's syndrome. Probably caused by the surgery to my neck. I have a very, very mild case -- an almost imperceptible drooping of the right eyelid, and the lack of pupil dilation in the right eye. Other symptoms seem to be absent or so faint as to make no odds. My vision seems not to be affected at all. Like everything to do with the surgery, the prognosis is agnostic.

To recap: over the past year, I have acquired a limp (not unlike Lord Byron) and a partially paralyzed eye (not unlike David Bowie). It's like I get all the really hot impairments.

Grr. Livejournal suspended my extra usericons because my paid account came to an end. Then again, the fact that I'd never actually used my 'love' icon always made me sort of sad, so I'm probably well shot.
