Really? You don't like bowling? Or it's not a good setup? I could see the latter. I've only been bowling once and I loved it, but then I'm funny that way. Glad you made it home. Looking forward to more stories.

Tad overwhelmed here, more updates coming soon. It's all good.

Yes, please to updates. Do you have birthday plans?

I don't dislike bowling exactly, but I am not very good at it. Normaly I don't mind this, but I might have liked to play to my strengths upon meeting a group of large straight American men.

Understood entirely. The one time I went bowling, I was much better than one would expect for a first timer but it was pretty random. I don't think I actually had my ball bounce into other lanes like always happens on tv. But there was some bouncing.

No big plan for the day of birth itself, but the celebration has already started, with a dim sum brunch last weekend and a turnout of 8, which pleased me. This weekend I'm sending Lillian back to Texas and I'll have a brief time of livin' single before Alex' expected arrival in January. No, no visa yet, but soon - he's got a visa interview Nov 27th and I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm actually going to be waiting around for the cable guy on the morning of the 22nd, and then working noon to 8 - but hey, the 23rd and 24th are days off for thanksgiving, so I can't complain. I guess next year, my birthday should be a holiday (since the day of the week is usually one day later each year) unless it's a leap year - nope, being odd, it won't be a leap.

An English friend of mine has invited me for turkey at her place on Thursday next week - I'm drooling with anticipation already - first turkey in many years! I'm making my dad's special cranberry sauce (the one which inspired my second word: berries) (first word? ice)

Large straight American men. What fun. I hope that at least they weren't armed.

Yep, it's a slow afternoon at the helpdesk.
