1. It is strange to hear the US talk about protecting Japan from nuclear threat.
2. My parents chose last week to visit Hawaii for the first time ever. They are fine, though. We are communicating via text messaging.

Date: 2006-10-19 02:58 am (UTC)Glad the parents are ok! Love text messaging. I've converted my dad - I had to explain to him recently that the reason why the youths in his show don't read his email messages is cause they think email is for old people - they're all about the IMing. He says he IMs them now and it's all good. He rolls his eyes while doing it though, and I don't blame him at all.
Your parents are seriously like the 20th couple/person I know(ishly) who've visited Hawaii this year. Last year I swear, no one I know went there. What is up with that? Is the universe trying to send me a message? Is it suddenly like retro cool? My friend, Eviltiff, said she wanted to see volcanoes and it was there or Costa Rica. We all know, I think, what I would have chosen (a new stamp in the passport, please!), but she chose Hawaii, had a great time and brought me earrings - yay!
I got out of jury duty by saying I don't believe in objectivity. Never knew that was going to come in handy - thank you Sociology.
