1) Videocassette verison of movie Bound. It was $2.99 at Liquidation World. I thought, "surely I must know someone who wants a copy of a lesbian romantic thriller with Gina Gershon as mainstream filmmaking's first pseudobutch."* Not so far. 2) "Little Black Book" brand black notebood, spiralbound, nice thick black covers, lined pages, 6"x9". I hate lined pages, so it's no good to me.[ETA: Claimed bylemon_pickle. This is a great system.]
I thought it might be a good idea to spend a day with my family during which I was, you know, sober, so I didn't drink at all the last day there. It wasn't really a fair experiment, though, because I also ate an easter cream egg. A whole one. At one point my tongue went numb, but I just kept on. I didn't get to sleep until two in the morning. At one-thirty, Rocking Out and doing interpretive dance to the Clash on my mp3 player in utter darkness in my downstairs bedroom, well away from the rest of the household thank Dog, it occurred to me that I'd simply chosen a cheaper form of self-medication.
