Surely all the credit must go to the subconscious. We just listen, bemused, and write down what we can use.
I woke up around seven in the false dawn and thought "This would be a good time to go for a run." About a half-hour later, I woke up fully. I was halfway into Beacon Hill Park, thinking "Huh. I'm on a run." I ran for a bit. "Huh. I haven't been for a run since May."
Partly (as I've mentioned here in the past) this is because when I was running regularly with the ex-co-conspirator, I developed exercise-related asthma. Instead of getting better over time, as they tell you it will, it got worse. My doctor gave me an inhaler to use before a run, but it didn't seem to help. Today I put it in my pocket and used it partway through the run when I started to feel wheezy. That worked like a hot damn. (Would a cold damn not work as well?)
I seem to be implementing Silent Resolutions slowly over the month of January.
Why Not: The Five Weird Habits Meme
Five habits of mine that most people don't have:
1. Being a Transsexual
2. Eating Things You Shouldn't
3. Muttering, Shouting, and Singing to Myself in the Street While Being Approximately Sane
4. Not Wanting a Lucrative Career
I can't think of a fifth one. I must not be fully Weird. Oh, well, I guess:
5. Subclinical Paranoia
Can we perhaps agree that the bar for Weird is generally set so low that rather than having trouble getting over it, most of us are more likely to trip on it and fall down?
