quotation devices
Aug. 4th, 2006 05:30 pmSadly, this post does not contain a virtual machine for generating pithy epigrams. Maybe next time.
From James Nicoll: A pair of strange new worlds that blur the boundaries between planets and stars have been discovered beyond our Solar System.
Which BBC article includes this quote:
"They appear to have been forged from a contracting gas cloud, in a similar way to stars, but are much too cool to be true stars."
Which is our whole deal, right. We are much too cool to be stars. Sort of like... Morrissey.
Needed a segue. Hope no one got hurt.
inlandsea got a bio of Mr. M from her workplace. I saw it on the kitchen table, assumed it was for me, and made off with it. It is written in a kind of recklessly silly paradoxical style which I thought I would find irritating, but, at least in small doses, turns out to be an oddly satisfying way to read about Mmmokay I'm going to give up and just call him Moz don't hate me. It also contains quotes.
"Everyone has been an anxious young girl at one time or another."
