carrot, stick
Mar. 28th, 2006 09:32 pmAlthough the grated carrots and parsnips I made for the wicked(wit) turkey dinner
argus_in_tights and I attended were very good, and are, I venture, even better with the current addition of a little soy sauce, they are not quite the thing for a standalone meal. Heated up in the mocrowave, they are a little bit slippery and overall not the texture one wants for one's dinner. Then again, this one only ever really wants bread, cheese, and chocolate. Still, I think with something firmer, or, alternatively, something softer -- chicken on the one hand or potato on the other -- they would be much more successful. But perhaps that is only because I know
inlandsea has chicken and potato in the refrigerator.
I am downloading iTunes in an attempt to solve my file format problem. Now that I am nearing the end of the marathon download (I went out for a walk in the middle of it. Ah, dialup), I suddenly have a vague memory of trying this once before and not being able to install it. I'm hoping this is a false memory born of groundless anxiety.
I might be coming back to life. I can't guarantee anything. But my room is finally almost set up, and there have been some small tics towards the creative life. There are some new sketches on my wall for the first time in--
I can say no more. It's not a secret or anything. I just have to install iTunes.

[ETA: I remembered correctly. It is too clever to let me install it. Oh arg.]
