technical difficulties
Sep. 10th, 2004 05:00 pmI hate to be all metajournalistic, but I've got the same problem that a grumpy bastard has now -- LJ updating difficulties. He can only update from a peculiar angle because of his chair issues, and I can only update in odd moments from my work computer. Always outside of working hours, obviously. Still, there's light to medium frustration in Paris tonight.
My mum, darling and doll that she is, offered the use of her dialup, but that leaves me with the issue that the only working phone connection is in the hall, and the computer, of course, is in the Study (The L-arm offshoot of Paris' main chamber.)
When I get the Very Long Phone Line for the cordless phone (oh irony -- the jack is nowhere near any outlets) which my dad brought me, I'll get another Very Long Line to try the dialup, if I even remember how to dial Up.
And there are always the Cafes, but it's amazing how expensive things seem when you've been kicked off the Economic Team and are in the midst of the Loneliness of the Long Distance Economic Runner.
So to speak. And I'm afraid I often do.
