Remember in Manhattan when Woody Allen is lying on the couch, and Diane Keaton's left him, and he's trying to think of reasons to live?

Well, all right, why is life worth living? That's a very good question. Um. Well, there are certain things I guess that make it worthwhile. Uh, like what? Okay. Um, for me, I would say Groucho Marx, to name one thing. And Willie Mays, and, uh, the second movement of the Jupiter Symphony, and Louie Armstrong's recording of "Potatohead Blues". Swedish movies, naturally. Sentimental Education by Flaubert. Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra... those incredible apples and pears by Cèzanne... the crabs at Sam Wo's.. Tracy's face.

It seems to me that these Things have to be, not just things you love or admire or crave, but the things that spontaneously rise up in you, that you know you can always come back to and find joy again, again, again.

Top five things that make life worth living. Go.
